Its summertime and the livin’ is family, fun and festivity!!! We have been up to all sorts of shenanigans. The gathering of the clan is now numbering 14 strong. Add some in-laws, (and some outlaws..) some old friends and new and you have very grand times in the maritimes.

We’ve had weddings, baptisms, beach days and boat days. Most of all we shared love, laughter, great food and we’ve built memories that will endure forever.

We packed so much into that rather humid month that must admit, a few days of quiet readjustment were a huge benefit. Now l must get cracking on what comes next.

As surprising at it seems, the young ones have gathered school supplies and returned to halls of wisdom. The SaltyHag is taking inventory and beginning to create new and whimsical creations in preparation for the Seaside Christmas weekend in November.

lt has been a wonderful beginning. Though in August l did take time out for family, June and July were so heartening. I have enjoyed this opening year immensely and am so grateful to this who’ve taken time to pop in. With the youngsters back in school, we are all catching our breath. When you’re ready to spend time just to go exploring, l hope your adventures bring you here. Lots left to see and enjoy here and l will stay open with extended hours until after the seaside festival.
